Japanese Knotweed

Telluric Land Remediation Ltd has won a substantial contract for the eradication of Japanese knotweed on an industrial site in South Wales. The site extends over 55 hectares and has a large number of extensive knotweed infestations covering a total area of approximately 9,500m2 (0.95 hectares).  Environment Agency approval has been gained following an initial site survey and development of an effective management plan. Chemical control has recently commenced, which includes treating a 1.3km stretch of riverbank.

Exeter

Telluric Land Remediation Ltd was responsible for the design and implementation of an in-situ remediation scheme on a housing development site in Exeter.  Following accurate delineation of the contamination plume, grossly contaminated groundwater and free phase floating oil were removed by pumping.  Residual smeared and dissolved phase contamination was then addressed using chemical oxidation.  Remediation targets were achieved following two applications of chemical oxidant over a period of 4 weeks.
