Telluric Land Remediation Ltd was responsible for the design, installation and operation of an in-situ remediation scheme on a housing development site in Cambridge. Remediation and construction were carried out simultaneously thereby minimising any delays to the building programme. Trichloroethene contaminated soil and groundwater were successfully treated by air sparging and soil vapour extraction over a twenty week period.
A pump and treat system was recently installed on a commercial development site in Coventry. Oil contaminated groundwater was pumped from two sumps to allow excavation works to progress. Abstracted groundwater was treated by pumping it through mobile equipment comprising settlement, oil-water separation, filtration and activated carbon adsorption.
