Telluric Land Remediation completes housing development site cleanup in London
We have recently completed a contaminated land remediation project in Southwark, London. This housing development site was heavily contaminated with hydrocarbons, including diesel and white spirit, due to leaking underground tanks from a previous site use. The site owner, a local housing developer, needed a cost-effective and rapid solution that would satisfy the requirements of the Environment Agency and Local Authority Planning. Following the removal of underground tanks, the next stage was removal of floating free phase contamination followed by in-situ chemical oxidation. After three months of remediation work the regulators were satisfied that the housing development could commence.
